Instructions

Step 1: Make the Mashed Potatoes

Add potatoes to a large pot and cover with water.

Bring to a boil and cook 15–20 minutes until fork tender.

Drain completely.

Mash potatoes.

Mix in butter, warm cream, sour cream, salt, and pepper.

Keep warm.

Step 2: Prepare the Green Beans

Cook bacon in a skillet until crispy.

Add onion and cook until softened.

Stir in garlic.

Add green beans and broth.

Cover and simmer 25–30 minutes until tender.

Season to taste.

Step 3: Cook the Chicken

Season chicken with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.

Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet.

Sear chicken 5–6 minutes per side until golden.

Remove and set aside.

Step 4: Make the Marry Me Sauce

In the same skillet add garlic and cook 30 seconds.

Pour in chicken broth and scrape up browned bits.

Add heavy cream.

Stir in Parmesan cheese.

Add Italian seasoning, paprika, and red pepper flakes.

Simmer 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.

Step 5: Finish the Dish

Return chicken to the skillet.

Spoon sauce over the chicken.

Simmer 8–10 minutes until chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).

Sauce should be creamy and rich.

Step 6: Prepare Croissants

Warm croissants in a 300°F (150°C) oven for 5 minutes.

Brush lightly with melted butter.

To Serve

Add a generous bed of creamy mashed potatoes.

Place chicken on top.

Spoon plenty of Marry Me sauce over everything.

Serve with green beans on the side.

Add a warm buttery croissant.

The result is the rich, creamy Southern-style Marry Me Chicken Plate shown in the photo—juicy chicken smothered in Parmesan cream sauce over fluffy mashed potatoes, paired with tender green beans and a flaky croissant. 🍗🥔🥐
